I'm a full Professor in Medical Entomology and Vector Control, affiliated as a university teacher and researcher in Tehran University of Medical Sciences. I'm 53 yo and married with two children. I have 94 Scopus cited paper and several papers in domestic journals. I have very good publications and experiences in the field of mosquitoes and medically important flies. I'm interested in the mentioned fields and also applied entomology such as maggot therapy and forensic entomology.

William MacGregor is a Lecturer in Diagnostic Imaging within the Department of Podiatry and Radiography in the School of Health and Life Sciences. William joined GCU in 2023 from NHS Borders where he worked as a Diagnostic Radiographer across several modalities. He is an experienced student mentor who successfully improved the student experience through developments and enhancements in learning opportunities within the department. He is also an experienced clinical assessor, preparing student radiographers to become competent and confident clinicians entering the workforce. He seeks to continue this ethos through his role here at GCU. William holds a BA (Hons) in Sociology with Psychology 2008; a BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography 2020; a PgCert in Professional and Higher Education 2023; and has most recently obtained a MSc in Advanced Practice 2025. He is a fellow of Advance HE and his current research interests involve mentoring and supervision within radiography and enhancements in interprofessional working through simulation in the academic and clinical environment.

Dr. Palanisamy Sivanandy is an eminent academician and researcher with more than 19 years of teaching and research experience. He has more than 27 years of experience in the pharmacy field. Currently, Dr Palanisamy has been working as a Programme Director at the International Medical University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia since 2014. He started his career as a Dispensing pharmacist in the year 1997 as a Diploma Pharmacist; in 2005 he completed his Pharmacy Under graduation (B.Pharm) from the Madurai Medical College, Tamilnadu; in 2007 he obtained his Post Graduation (M.Pharm) in Pharmacy Practice from Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Paramedical Sciences, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu. He completed his Ph.D., in the year 2013 from the prestigious Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai, and the Good Clinical Practice Licensure Exam from the Ministry of Health (MoH), Malaysia in 2014. He has published more than 100 research and review papers in various national and internationally indexed peer-reviewed journals and has been serving as Chief editor and an editorial board member of repute for more than 10 international journals. He has received many grants from the Indian Council of Medical Research, New Delhi, India; Department of Science & Technology, New Delhi, India; Centre for International Co-Operation in Science, Chennai, India; and International Medical University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He has presented many research papers at conferences in various countries like Turkey, the United States of America, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Bangladesh, India, and Malaysia. Dr. Palanisamy has been awarded the Outstanding Researcher in Pharmacology Award in 2018, Education Leadership Award in 2019, Global Knowledge Management Award in 2020, Dynamic Pharma Teacher Award in 2020, IMU Achievement Award in 2020, AKS Global Faculty Award in 2021, Leadership in Community Service (Individual and Group) Awards in 2021, Business Process Improvement Award in 2021, IMU SoP - Book Chapters Award in 2021, Distinguished Professor Award in 2021, National Education Excellence Achievers Award in 2022, Award of Leadership in Programme Management, in 2022, Best Academician award in 2022, Award of Leadership in Programme Management in 2023, elected as the FELLOW of the Royal Society for Public Health (FRSPH), UK, in August 2023, Teaching Excellence Award in 2024, and IMU-Long-Service Award in 2024, Award of Leadership in Programme Management in 2024, Academic Board Member by Global Open Share Publishing Pty Ltd, Alfredton, Australia in 2025.

Myllena Pereira Silverio holds a BSc in Biological Sciences (Genetics) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). As part of her undergraduate education, she participated in an academic exchange program at Roehampton University in London, where she completed two semesters of study. She subsequently obtained a Master of Science degree in Microbiology from UFRJ, where she conducted research in the field of antimicrobial resistance. Dr. Pereira Silverio earned her Doctorate in Microbiology and Biotechnology from the University of Hamburg, Germany, where she engaged in advanced research with a focus on microbial plastic degradation.

Dr. Stuart Maudsley currently holds the Odysseus Chair in Receptor Pharmacology and is also the Group Leader of the Receptor Biology Laboratory at the University of Antwerp. In addition to this, he is the Co-Founder of the therapeutic discovery start-up HeptOME. He has served as the Adjunct Director of the VIB Department of Molecular Genetics as well as Chair of the Department of Biomedical Science at the University of Antwerp. His research focuses on the age-dependent changes in receptor pharmacology associated with complex diseases driven by molecular gerontological signaling, e.g., neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease and Frontotemporal dementia; cardiovascular disease; chronic kidney disease; diabetic pathology conditions; and multiple oncologies including triple-negative breast cancer. After gaining his Ph.D. as the Ackroyd Brother & Brown Research Fellow in Receptor Pharmacology from the University of Leeds, he received a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Fellowship Award to train with Professor Robert Lefkowitz (2012 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry) at Duke University. He was then recruited to be the youngest Principal Investigator of the Receptor Biology Section at the Medical Research Council Human Reproductive Sciences Unit at the University of Edinburgh in the U.K. After successfully developing a line of receptor-based novel prostate cancer therapeutics at the MRC, Dr. Stuart was next recruited to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) where I worked for the next decade as the Head of the Receptor Pharmacology Unit at the NIH-National Institute on Aging at the Johns Hopkins Medical School. In addition to this, he was also a lecturer in Molecular Gerontology at the Hopkins-affiliated Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Dr. Eman Gamal El-Din Ezzat Helal is a Professor at Al Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt, with vast teaching experience in hematology, comparative physiology, and biochemistry. Holding a Ph.D. in Physiology, her research focused on mineralocorticoid activity in young chickens. Over her career, she has held positions from Demonstrator to Professor, contributing to the field. Prof. Helal is a member of esteemed societies including the Egyptian German Society and the Egyptian Society of Physiology, reflecting her dedication to advancing scientific knowledge.
