TaiwanProf. Bing-Huei Chen is a Distinguished Chair Professor in the Department of Food Science at Fu Jen Catholic University, Taiwan. He earned his Ph.D. in Food Science and Technology from Texas A&M University, USA, and has established an outstanding academic career spanning more than three decades in research, teaching, and academic leadership. Throughout his career, he has served in several prestigious positions, including Chair of the Department of Nutrition and Food Science, Director of the Graduate Institute of Medicine, and Dean of the College of Human Ecology at Fu Jen Catholic University.
Prof. Chen's research expertise encompasses food chemistry, lipid and pigment chemistry, instrumental analysis, food toxicology, functional foods, botanical drug development, nanotechnology, and food nanobiotechnology. His pioneering research has made significant contributions to the development of functional food ingredients, bioactive compounds, and advanced nanotechnology applications for improving food quality and human health. He has published over 250 peer-reviewed research articles, authored several book chapters, and has received thousands of citations, reflecting the global impact of his scholarly work.
In addition to his research accomplishments, Prof. Chen has received numerous national and international honors for his outstanding contributions to food science and technology. He has also served in editorial leadership roles for several international scientific journals and actively contributes to the advancement of academic publishing through peer review, editorial services, and scientific collaboration. PolandI am Olena Saliy, I received my PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 1999 from Zaporizhia Medical University, Ukraine. From 1993 to 2004 I worked at Zaporizhia Medical University at the Department of Drug Technology and Dosage Forms as a lecturer and a scientist in the department's laboratory. From 2004 to 2024 I worked at pharmaceutical factories in Kyiv as a director of development and research. Due to the war in Ukraine, I moved to Poland (Warsaw) in 2024 and worked remotely until February 2026 as a director of regulatory issues and registration of medicines of a Ukrainian enterprise. From 2017 to 2024 I worked in parallel as an associate professor at the Department of Industrial Drug Technology at the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design, Kyiv, Ukraine. I was the Guarantor of the Industrial Pharmacy educational program. Conducted active scientific activities in the laboratories of the department and the research laboratory of the pharmaceutical enterprise. I am an active researcher in the fields of developing formulations of dosage forms based on small molecules, technological processes, in vivo and in vitro efficacy studies. To date, I have published over 150 peer-reviewed scientific articles, 6 patents, and am the author of 6 articles in the Pharmaceutical Encyclopedia of Ukraine. Since February 2026, I have founded PharmaReg Consults SO in Warsaw (Poland) and conduct expert activities in pharmaceutical sciences, education and research in the pharmaceutical industry. Since 2026, I have been a member of RAPS (Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society), USA.
